For patients of Piedmont Health Services, it’s all about saving money.
The agency, which serves primarily low-income patients throughout central North Carolina, is partnering with RelyMD to provide after-hours advice on medical conditions via a web browser, mobile app or phone call. Patients who might previously have had no choice but to make an expensive visit to an urgent-care clinic or hospital emergency room, can now get medical attention from a health care professional without leaving home.
