Orange County of North Carolina Selects RelyMD as Virtual Emergency Services Provider

HILLSBOROUGH, N.C. – (March 9, 2020) –RelyMD, a digital health company that provides coordinated telemedicine will serve Orange County Emergency Services during disaster situations with on-demand telemedicine services.

Emergency events that require the formation of group shelters and evacuation often lead to low accessibility to care and overextension of emergency personnel and resources for low-acuity medical concerns. This partnership will provide patients located or transported to Orange County, North Carolina with immediate access to highly experienced providers via mobile app – allowing them to be cared for in-place.

Disaster telemedicine services for Orange County emergency shelters are free to temporary residents of designated locations during times of need. The virtual care is facilitated by on-site medical staff, allowing all shelter residents to have access without monetary or device restriction.
