RelyMD to Present at LeadingAge North Carolina Annual Conference

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – April 30, 2019 – PRLog — RelyMD’s Dr. Bobby Park, co-founder and director of virtual health at RelyMD, will give a presentation at the LeadingAge North Carolina Conference.  Dr. Park will specifically discuss the RUSH Act of 2018, a bill introduced to reduce hospital admissions from nursing homes by allowing Medicare to enter into value-based arrangements with medical groups to provide acute care at skilled nursing facilities using a combination of telehealth and on-site first responders.

The conference will take place May 6 – 9 at the Marriott Resort and Spa at Grande Dunes in Myrtle Beach. Dr. Park will present Wednesday, May 8 at 3:15 p.m.

“The additional support the RUSH Act provides to implement advances in technology will help all facilities push forward where resources were previously lacking,” said Dr. Park. “Telemedicine can help to decrease hospital admissions from nursing facilities and the end result is a positive impact on a facility’s bottom line while also improving access to care for residents.”
